2019 Chinese New Year Celebration, Millenáris Budapest, 25 – 27 January
On the occasion of the upcoming Chinese New Year and the 70th anniversary of Hungarian-Chinese diplomatic relations, the local Chinese community is hosting a major cultural and gastronomic event at Millenáris Park.

The three-day festival features a long list of cultural and entertainment programs, including a panda show, traditional Chinese medicine with free on-site diagnosis and treatment, tea art, kung-fu, costumes (Qipao, Hanfu), musical instruments (Erhu, Guzheng, Waist drum), calligraphy, and drawings. In addition, travel information will also be available at the Chinese Tourism Office’s stand to inform visitors about traveling to China.

On the sidelines, there will be the Chinese Street Food Festival, which features 6 authentic Chinese restaurants that are based in Monori Center, where the Chinatown Street Food Night Market is held every summer.

A wide selection of signature Chinese street foods will be available (bao, jiao, Sichuan food, noodle soups, Peking duck, Asian pastry and desserts, etc) while the performances take place, enabling visitors to taste authentic Chinese food.

Come join us for this fun event, where you can also learn about Budapest’s Chinese neighborhood!
